The Painted Bunting is a beatiful bird with striking blue, green, and red plummage for the male and bright and light green for the female. This bird stops at Painted Bunting Ranch on its way between the south-central United States and Mexico, mostly from February throigh July. The Painted Bunting's warble is very distinct and can be heard often, especially early morning's and evenings.
The Painted Bunting photographs on this site were taken at Painted Bunting Ranch in 2014.
